The Desigual project was born in 1984. Thomás Meyer (aged just twenty at the time) already had clear ideas of what he wanted. A fun, highly original product with an affordable price. The first slogan he came up with was “Desigual is just not the same” and twenty-five years later, this motto continues to be the challenging philosophy that lies at the heart of his label.

Desigual has been something of a household name in Spain for several years and its shops are a familiar sight.

Desigual's key values remain as fun, fresh, authentic and rebellious, coupled with a lively sense of humour.

Desigual soared skyward during the nineties, with its distinctively bold and colourful patterns. A collection of wonderfully novel designs in revolutionary style.

Over recent years, Desigual has enjoyed huge growth with annual growth in turnover averaging 40%. Amongst the firms key assets are their more than 1,500 points- of-sale in multi-brand retailers; 700 in Spain, with the rest across France, Italy, Portugal, Greece, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Lebanon, Taiwan and Japan.

In recent seasons, Desigual collections have starred in the 'Who’s Next' trade shows in Paris and in 'Bread&Butter' in Berlin.
